ANCESTRAL KNOWLEDGE AND MEDICINAL PLANTS from the AMAZON OF COLOMBIA

With more than 30 years dedicated to researching the medicinal plants of the Amazon region of Colombia and exchanging knowledge with other indigenous communities, Manuel Antonio Mueses is knowledgeable and specialised in the healing wisdom of Nature. Manuel belongs to the indigenous community of Camentsa biya, in the department of Putumayo, Colombia.
Concerned about the effects of climate change and to ensure the conservation of medicinal plants, he is creating an ethnobotanical garden and healing centre in Mocoa, Putumayo, where he will cultivate the medicinal plants needed to cure the most common diseases and host his patients in a peaceful space stimulating holistic healing.

Together with Manuel, TERRA Foundation invites you to contribute to establishing the Sana que Sana centre, which will help preserve ancestral knowledge of medicinal plants. We take care of ourselves and our future generations by safeguarding medicinal knowledge.
While we will keep you informed of the progress we’ve been making, we’d like to invite you to travel to Mocoa, Putumayo, in the Amazon region of Colombia and discover by yourself the natural healing power of these medicinal plants.
