TERRA Foundation is a Netherlands-based non-profit organization that aims to mitigate climate change by supporting the development of locally-led reforestation initiatives and social entrepreneurship in the Amazon.
We believe reforestation is an opportunity to empower local and indigenous communities and fight climate change, together.

On the frontlines of rainforest protection
‘The world is divided in different countries, some richer some poorer. The vegetation we have here is unique, it doesn’t exist elsewhere and needs to be protected. It generates the oxygen we breathe. We all breathe the same air. If we don’t have air to breath, it doesn’t matter how much money we have, we won’t survive.’
